Android testers wanted in Ireland and the UK
About 15 minutes of your time. Free lifetime licence in return.
KeepCallsSafe rejects calls from hidden and withheld numbers before your phone even rings. It works on our Samsung and Xiaomi phones. Before we open it to everyone, we want to make sure it works on other Android phones and on Irish and UK networks too.
Phones we especially need
- Google Pixel – any model
- Motorola – Moto G, Edge, Razr
- OnePlus, Oppo, Realme – same system underneath
- Honor, Nothing, Sony
- Older phones – Android 10, 11 or 12, any brand
Samsung and Xiaomi/Redmi are already tested, but you're still welcome if you're on a different network.
What the app does
- Blocks calls from hidden, private and withheld numbers.
- Optionally blocks international numbers that aren't in your contacts, with countries you always allow.
- People in your contacts always get through.
- Optional notification each time a call is blocked, and a list of blocked calls.
What it doesn't do (yet)
- It doesn't recognise fake (spoofed) numbers. That's planned for later.
- Android only (Android 10 or newer).
- Results can differ between phone brands and networks. That's exactly what we want to find out.
What you get
A free lifetime licence: KeepCallsSafe stays free for you for good. No card, no payment.
How to join
- Email support@keepcallssafe.com with your phone model, Android version, network (e.g. Vodafone, Three, Eir, 48, EE, O2) and the Gmail address you use in the Play Store on that phone (Play Store → tap your profile picture, top right).
- We add that address as a tester and reply with an invite link and a promo code. You don't need to send us any link.
- Install the app from Google Play through the link and allow call screening.
- On the “Your plan” screen tap “Have a promo code?” and redeem the code in the Play Store. Please don't start the free trial: with the code you don't need it.
What to test
- Ask someone to call you with their number withheld: #31# before your number in Ireland, 141 before your number in the UK. The call should be rejected and your phone shouldn't ring.
- Ask someone from your contacts to call you normally. The call must get through.
- If you turned on notifications, check that you got one about the blocked call.
How to report
Reply to our email: what worked, what didn't, and a screenshot if something looks wrong. That's all.
Your privacy
